
A Successful Entrepreneur’s Secret to Scaling a Business w/Mark Zweig #business
In today’s conversation we will explore the confessions from an entrepreneur who has led successful scaling businesses, the importance of creating a plan aligned to a vision for entrepreneurs, why marketing is critical for scaling and some ideas to inspire better marketing for your organisation, how Mark motivated his colleagues by creating a fun culture, the risk of having an organisation that’s too formally structured.
Mark is an Entrepreneur, Teacher, Writer, Speaker, and Vistage Chair. Mark started his entrepreneurial career early selling bicycles on the street corner of his childhood home at age eight or nine. He is the Founder of two Inc 500/5000 companies – Zweig Group (formerly Zweig White) and Mark Zweig, Inc. He built, sold, and bought back and resold his interest Zweig Group, a management consulting, publishing, media and training company founded in 1988. He built Mark Zweig, a design/build/contract/development company which he founded in 2005.
Mark has also been an owner and investor in a number of other ventures and served on the BODs of a dozen or so privately held companies throughout the US. He has written more than a dozen books on management such as Management from A to Zweig, Management ideas that Work and Find the Lost Dollars. He also published the Zweig Letter, the leading management newsletter for the AE (architecture and engineering) industry for more than 28 years.
He is also an Executive in-residence teaching entrepreneurship at the Sam M. Walton College of the Business at the University of Arkansas.
