Which is the largest consulting firm?

Deloitte Consulting LLP is the world’s largest consulting firm and one of the four major accounting firms and has one of the largest professional networks worldwide. We’re excited to announce the release of our annual ranking of the top 50 consulting firms in North America. Boston Consulting Group and Bain, the other two thirds of the elite MBB consulting firms, are once again swapping places and are in 1st place. We have included MBB — McKinsey, Bain, BCG — in their own category, MBB.

Each company has a basis in its core strategy, but now offers many other services as well. And each has a level of prestige high enough that a separate category is required. The three major management consulting firms McKinsey, BCG and Bain were all on the highlight list, and the consulting branches of three of the big four accounting firms Deloitte, PwC and KPMG were also on the list of the most recommended companies. Although its official headquarters are in Dublin, Ireland, Accenture has offices in more than 200 offices, and consultants often work with colleagues in other offices.

While the company offers a wide range of advisory services, it is primarily known for its work in banking and financial services. Among them, Deloitte, EY and PwC have already acquired boutique consulting firms with prestige in high-level problem solving to expand their traditional consulting divisions, which are more focused on implementation. This level includes consulting firms that focus on business consulting but do not have the global name or brand recognition as tier 2 management consulting firms. Today, the HR consulting firm operates in more than 50 countries and routinely works with clients that are among the 500 largest companies in the world.

We excluded the following consulting firms from the rankings because they were not management consulting firms, did not have a global presence, or did not operate in a wide variety of industries and functions. While the Big Three remain at the top, this year’s Consulting 50 is recording some impressive growth among other well-known companies. In IT consulting, consultants often consult with employees from the entire customer organization, analyze data, determine the requirements for the information system, define project goals and make recommendations for suitable software and hardware systems. However, to use a consulting term, we wanted to be MECE (mutually exclusive, collectively exhaustive).

Unlike many other top consulting firms, Oliver Wyman also has no requirements for an advanced degree. Each Big 4 company operates in 150 countries. So unless you live in the poorest and least promising markets, you can find at least one Big 4 company in your home country. Although MBB companies attract virtually all the attention, the Big 4 companies also offer attractive career opportunities for aspiring consultants. Management consulting firms can be found in every corner of the world and serve virtually every industry niche.
